Terms of Use
The rules that govern your use of solarsight.io, the Solar Pre-Qualification service, and any SMS or email communications you receive from us.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of solarsight.io and any related services provided by SolarSight ("SolarSight", "we", "us", or "our"), a service of Phoenix Solar Group. By using the Site or our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Site or our services. By using the Site, you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. The Service
SolarSight provides an informational Solar Pre-Qualification service. Based on your property address and third-party data (including Google Solar API, Nearmap aerial imagery, and EIA utility data), SolarSight produces an indicative estimate of solar suitability and potential savings for residential or commercial properties, primarily in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
A Solar Pre-Qualification is not a quote, proposal, design, contract, or binding commitment. It is a data-backed estimate intended to help you decide whether to pursue a formal assessment. Actual savings, system performance, and project costs depend on installation quality, equipment selection, energy usage, utility rates, incentives, and other factors outside SolarSight's control.
3. Your Account and Information
You agree that any information you submit to SolarSight — including your name, email, phone number, and property address — is accurate, current, and complete, and that you are authorised to provide it. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials (where applicable) confidential.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or impersonate any person.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, our systems, or related networks.
- Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Site, except as expressly permitted.
- Use automated systems to submit requests or abuse our forms or messaging services.
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
5. SMS Messaging Terms
5.1 Consent
By providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent box (or otherwise expressly opting in), you agree to receive SMS text messages from SolarSight at the number you provided, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
5.2 Types of messages
Messages may include transactional messages (for example, pre-qualification confirmations and report delivery), appointment reminders, and — where you have expressly opted in — occasional marketing messages about SolarSight. Message frequency varies.
5.3 Rates, STOP and HELP
Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message from us. For help, reply HELP or contact privacy@solarsight.io. We do not guarantee delivery of SMS messages, and carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5.4 Supported carriers
SMS services are available on major US carriers. Carrier support may change without notice.

6. Third-Party Services and Data
SolarSight relies on third-party data and service providers, including Google Solar API, Nearmap, and the US Energy Information Administration. We do not control these third parties, and we make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or availability of their data. Your use of any third-party site or service linked from the Site is subject to that third party's terms and privacy policies.
7. Intellectual Property
The Site, including all content, trademarks, logos, design elements, copy, and software, is owned by or licensed to SolarSight and Phoenix Solar Group, and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Site for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
8. Disclaimers
The Site and the Solar Pre-Qualification service are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including without limitation the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components, or that any estimates provided will match actual solar performance, cost, or savings.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SolarSight, Phoenix Solar Group, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or our services, whether based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms, the Site, or our services shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply to you to the fullest extent permitted.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SolarSight, Phoenix Solar Group, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of any third party.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the District of Columbia, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site or our services at any time, with or without cause or notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) will survive.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or a prominent notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
